Rome
Mantegna, Perugino, Piero della Francesca, Pinturicchio, Donatello, Michelangelo, Lippi are just some of the artists featured in an exhibition that does justice to the value of Rome's artistic output during the Renaissance. The 170 works on show are on loan from prestigious international museums and are accompanied by a large panel illustrating life in the city in the 1500s and a 3D reconstruction of the Carafa Chapel of Santa Maria sopra Minerva Church created using the application of colour optical radar technology (usually used for spatial investigations) on an artistic monument.
