Rome
Thirty years after the death of the great painter from Volos, a retrospective is dedicated to the classicist and inventor of metaphysical painting. For De Chirico art was a compass with which to orient oneself in the sea of emotion. About 30 paintings and drawings illustrate the relationship between the artist and classical heritage. Particularly worth mentioning are the works that are clearly influenced by Michelangelo, Titian, Guido Reni, or Rubens. GNAM Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna, viale delle Belle Arti, 131.
